Marty Coleman's challenge to raise daughters who can think for themselves, who can resist the limitations of fearfulness, who can respect themselves, their talents and uniqueness as well as those of others becomes our challenge to continue to grow as human beings.

Reading through this book of words (of the wise -- including Marty himself) and images by Marty, in all its simplicity, one is compelled to reflect compassionately and with humor on who we are, what we've learned and how we relate to others.
