This series is inspired by the children's book 'The Velveteen Rabbit'. It is the story of a stuffed rabbit, a favorite of the little boy who owns him, who becomes real by virtue of it having been through much in life, including much love from the boy. The rabbit thought the older and more 'worn out' it got, the less valuable and needed it was. The giraffe explains to it that the opposite is true. One becomes 'real' by having lived life, having been loved and having been through it all. The outer view isn't an indication of lack of value, but rather, an abundance of life and love. One doesn't become real without it.
