MAKE

MAKE is about:

Meeting your private or commercial needs with creativity, discipline and professionalism

Creating unique images that people don't pass by with a unconscious nod.

Involving the client in the creative endeavor.

Communicating effectively and realistically.

Reasonable prices and rates.

Being able to think inside, outside or on the edge of the box.

Knowing what to do with the box.

Knowing about design, art, history, architecture, geography, fashion, science, religion, and more.

Knowing that that knowledge leads to understanding you better and getting a more representative and reflective image, no matter the subject.

Having love and passion for the visual world and finding ways to share it.

MAKE got its start in the 1980s under the name MPC Photography. I focused on black and white portraits using a Pentax ME Super 35mm film camera.

In the mid-90s I moved from California to Oklahoma and focused on Interactive and Internet Design for many years. The photography business went on hiatus during most of that time.

During the 2000s I was taking more and more photographs for the websites I was creating and, like everyone else, bought a digital film camera. I revived my business in 2005, working part- time on nights and weekends, and renamed it MAKE.

In 2008 I took the plunge and went full-time in the business. My work still includes the personal black and white portraits like I took many decades ago. But I have spread into many other areas, including corporate, families, couples, pageants, seniors, proms, and other life events.

So, if you want someone with a breadth of experience in portraiture, with the eye and the equipment to make images no one else can give you, I hope you will check out my work and give me a call.
